Q: Why aluminium and not plastic?

Aluminium is infinitely recyclable, so the same metal returns as metal without downgrading. The tube also empties fully: you roll it and squeeze it and get the last of the product out, unlike an airless pump that retains a portion of what you paid for. A bio-based, compostable version is in development.

Q: What is a UV awareness bead?

A bead that starts white indoors and changes colour, to purple, orange, green or yellow depending on the piece, when it is exposed to direct sunlight. It is a visual cue that UV is reaching your skin and it is time to reapply.

What I AM ENDLESS makes

I AM ENDLESS is a design-led sun brand based in Glen Ridge, New Jersey. We make two things: mineral SPF 50 sunscreen, and handmade sun accessories. The principle behind both is the same. The good stuff is made to last. The single-use stuff is made to disappear.

Mineral SPF 50

Face It (50) is a broad-spectrum mineral sunscreen made with patented, high-transparency zinc oxide. No chemical sunscreen actives, no fragrance.

It launches in an aluminium tube: 95% post-consumer recycled, and infinitely recyclable, so the same metal comes back as metal without downgrading. The tube also empties properly. You roll it and squeeze it and get the last of it out, rather than leaving a third of it stranded in an airless pump chamber.

A bio-based, home-compostable version is in development for a later run. Both go to the waitlist first.

Sun accessories with UV awareness beads

Every accessory we make carries a UV awareness bead. It starts white indoors and changes colour, to purple, orange, green or yellow depending on the piece, when direct sunlight hits it. It is a visual cue that UV is reaching your skin and it is time to cover up or reapply.

Necklaces and sunglass cords. Handmade with semi-precious stones: Golden Obsidian, Sodalite, Prehnite and natural undyed Carnelian. Strung on natural silk with gold-fill or sterling silver findings and french wire. The lariats wear three ways: necklace, loop, or sunglass cord.
Bag charms. Handmade with 100% recycled paracord and semi-precious stones, finished with a gunmetal spring ring clip. Roughly 6.5 inches, knotted by hand, each one slightly different.
Bracelets and hats. Same principle, same bead.
